By contacting Shareholder Services.

How do I transfer shares or change registration, including name changes?

Visit Computershare's forms library to print a Transfer Request and submit along with any additional required documents to MGE Energy's Transfer Agent, Computershare, PO Box 43078, Providence, RI 02940-3078, for processing.

You may also visit the Transfer Wizard, which is the quickest, easiest and most accurate method to create your transfer documents.

What is a Medallion Signature Guarantee?

A Medallion Guarantee is a special stamp that’s used when you sell or transfer U.S. securities. It confirms that the signature authorizing the sale or transfer is genuine and that the signer has the legal capacity and authority to sign the document.

What does the word COMM on my statement mean?

COMM are shares held in certificate form. The original certificate(s) must be presented to Computershare before a sale or change in registration can occur.

How Can I replace a lost or stolen stock certificate?

You can easily report the lost certificates online through Computershare's Investor Center. If you are not an Investor Center member, you can call or send written notice of the loss. Once your request has been received, Computershare will provide the necessary forms to complete the replacement process.

I would like to move my shares to a broker, how is this done?

Contact your broker and request your shares be sent to them through the Depository Trust Company's Direct Registration Profile System. You will need to supply your broker with a copy of your latest account statement or advice along with the following information:

Computershare's DTC number: 7807
Your Computershare holder account number (this is listed on your statement or advice and begins with the letter 'C').
Registration (name and address) of your Computershare account (this is also listed on your statement or advice).
The Social Security Number (SSN) or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) associated with your shareholder account.
The number of MGEE shares you wish to move from your Computershare account to your brokerage account.

What is Direct Registration System (DRS)?

Direct Registration (DRS) allows share ownership without paper stock certificates. The shares are held electronically in book-entry form in your account.

When are dividends paid?

Dividends are typically paid quarterly on March 15, June 15, Sept. 15 and Dec. 15.

These dividends are paid to shareholders who own shares at the close of business on the dividend record date: March 1, June 1, Sept. 1 and Dec. 1.

Is direct dividend deposit available?

We can send your dividend directly to your designated bank account on the payable date. Provide your information by mailing a completed Dividend Deposit Authorization Form or securely online through Investor Center.

What do I do if a check is lost or stolen?

Stop payment order against the original check.
Replacement check.

Once a check is replaced, the original check is no longer valid. Replacement checks are mailed within 7 to 10 business days once a request has been submitted.

How do I calculate my MGEE Stock Cost Basis?

At tax time, shareholders must determine their cost basis to report capital gains taxes to the IRS. Learn more by visiting our Tax Information page.

How can I get an MGE Energy annual report?

Shareholders receive a copy of MGE Energy's annual report every year either by e-delivery or postal delivery. Past annual reports are available in our online archive.
