Operational Excellence: Focus on Reliability

Our main subsidiary, Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), puts an emphasis on operational excellence—including the dependability of our electric system.

In a 2016 survey of more than 90 electric utilities, MGE ranked second in the nation for the fewest number of outages. For 2015, we ranked first in the nation.

MGE consistently ranks among the top utilities for electric reliability. Over the last 10 consecutive years, MGE has ranked in the top three utilities nationwide.
