Our regulated utility, Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), offers a variety of resources to help drivers navigate the electric vehicle (EV) market—learning about models, benefits, charging and costs.
Online tools and resources
- LovEV: LovEV covers drivers' most common questions about going electric. This website shares different aspects of driving an EV, including videos that feature EV drivers. It is an easy online stop to learn about the EV experience.
- Explore My EV: This tool compares EVs to gasoline-powered vehicles. Explore My EV considers commute distances, available tax credits and maintenance costs, among other things when comparing vehicles. Drivers can see a detailed financial comparison that includes average monthly expenses and potential lifetime savings. Explore My EV also will show drivers MGE programs to make home charging installation easy, public charging cheaper and clean energy for home charging simple and affordable.
- EV Rider: This online resource provides up-to-date and easy-to-understand information on EVs and charging. It features local videos, short articles and interviews with industry experts.
